Teen Mom OG star Amber Portwood has committed to a new workout program—and she’s seeing serious results. The 27-year-old shared that she’s started mixed martial arts, or MMA, along with a healthy eating plan. And she’s almost at the goal weight she’s set for herself. Portwood hasn’t shared the exact details of her program, but boxing and martial arts are known calorie torchers good for building stamina and strength. Plus, if you’re sparring with an opponent, it’s impossible to get bored.

Portwood previously told WomensHealthMag.com that she was diagnosed with borderline personality disorder, and her medication made her gain weight. So, she’s changed her diet to make sure she’s staying as healthy as possible.

“At first I tried to restart a no-carb, no-sugar diet,” she said. “But I realized there was no way that was going to work for rest of my life. I love mac and cheese! So I had to figure out a way of living my life that’s healthier. Instead of cutting out those foods completely, I just focus on eating healthy, fresh foods and watching my portion size.”

In her latest weight loss update via Instagram, Amber writes, “If this is fat, then I’m proud…almost at my goal!! We got this!” We love that Amber is owning her body, no matter what the size. You go, girl!
